Michael is becoming better organized on satellite imagery as the wind shear decreases. However, this has yet to translate into higher winds as per the latest aircraft data. That said, the latest forecast models have trended even stronger than they were earlier this morning. Confidence is very high that Michael will make landfall as at least a category 3 hurricane around Panama City, Florida tomorrow afternoon.

Weather conditions are expected to start to deteriorate by early tomorrow morning over the Florida Panhandle. The worst of the weather will arrive shortly after midday.

Heavy rains will continue to affect western Cuba for the next several hours.
