Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
There are currently no disturbances. Development is not expected through late next week.

Long-range models are indicating that low pressure may develop in the northwestern Caribbean Sea next weekend. The American GFS model is predicting that another storm similar to Alberto may develop in the western Caribbean Sea between June 10th and June 12th. However, no other model is predicting development at this time. For now, we will monitor the western Caribbean Sea next week for signs of increasing thunderstorm activity, which would indicate increasing development potential. This area is highlighted on the map as an area to watch. Development chances are estimated at 20 percent.
