Disturbance 3 is located over the northeastern Yucatan Peninsula this morning. Model guidance has shifted a little to the east overnight. However, only a slight adjustment in the track was made. We are forecasting a track into the central Gulf Coast near the Alabama and Mississippi border on Monday evening.

We think that there is a 90 percent chance that the disturbance will be classified as a tropical storm this weekend. The primary threat to the southern U.S. will be heavy rainfall across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and southeast Louisiana through the holiday weekend.
