Mariners are advised that the Bayou Sorrel bridge, located at MM 37.6 of the Port Allen – Morgan City Alternate Route, is experiencing limited functionality. Subject to repairs, the bridge will be opened manually. Permanent repairs are estimated for completion by Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
The bridge will be manually opened daily from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM to allow for marine traffic. Mariners are advised to contact the bridge prior to arrival.
Vessels seeking to transit through the bridge should coordinate their passage in advance by calling the bridge operator at (225) 659-1484 or via VHF-FM Ch 13.
