Here is today’s USCG Port Coordination Team High Water Conference Report and River Condition Report.Current River Stages
- The LMR stage at BR today (1100) was at 39.59 feet.
- The LMR stage at New Orleans today (1100 Hours) was at 15.66 feet.
NOAA/NWS Crest Predictions
- The LMR at Baton Rouge is predicted to crest at 43.5’on March 18 thru March 20.
- The LMR at New Orleans is predicted to crest at 17.0’ on March 13 thru March 23.
- Due to predicted rainfall and heavy snowfall ‘up north’ we could/will be experiencing high water for several months.
USACE:
- Bonne Carre Spillway is scheduled to open on 1000 Wednesday, Feb 27.
- Planned to be opened for 35 days at this time.
Pilots:
- BAR –
- Maximum Recommended Draft is 44’. (Click here)
- SWP High Tide Entry Window Restriction. (Click here)
- CRPPA –
- Maximum Recommended Draft is 45’. (Click here)
- Anchorages are about 75% full.
- High Water Operating Restrictions Are in Effective (Click here)
- Emphasized that at a 16’ Carrollton Gauge,and
- Downbound vessels with a draft of 30’ or greater,and
- A pilot is ordered after 1600 Hours,and
- Fog is predicted;then
- Minimum One Assist Tug is Required.
