Disturbance 49 is along 86W and extends from Honduras to adjacent offshore areas. The entire system will move inland over Belize and Guatemala later today. It has a 30 percent chance of briefly becoming a tropical depression before moving ashore. Widespread significant impacts are not expected.
Disturbance 53 is located along 50W and is moving westward near 20 mph. Development chances remain quite low near 10 percent. The system is likely to remain weak as it tracks into the Caribbean during the Wednesday and Thursday time frame. It is expected to enhance shower and thunderstorm activity over the Lesser Antilles and the eastern Caribbean on Wednesday and Thursday.
