Disturbance 49 has moved inland into Honduras and Nicaragua, eliminating the chance of development in the western Caribbean. The disturbance will emerge into the East Pacific south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec on Wednesday, where there will be a 90 percent chance that it will develop into at least a tropical storm.

Disturbance 53 is approaching the eastern Caribbean this morning. Strong wind shear in its path is expected to prevent it from developing. Development chances are no more than 10 percent. The disturbance will enhance shower and thunderstorm activity over the Lesser Antilles and the eastern Caribbean on Wednesday and Thursday.
