There is a 30 percent chance of tropical development over the next seven days. The latest model guidance is indicating that the disturbance will track towards the north or north-northwest through the weekend. The disturbance is expected to move into the eastern Gulf of Mexico by Monday or Tuesday. Regardless of any tropical development, heavy rainfall will be the primary threat.
