Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 47 is currently drifting to the north in the southwestern Caribbean. The weak area of low pressure is located near 14.0N, 80.0W. There is a 30 percent chance of tropical development over the next seven days. The latest model guidance is indicating that the disturbance will track towards the north or north-northwest through the weekend. The disturbance is expected to move into the eastern Gulf of Mexico by Monday or Tuesday. Regardless of any tropical development, heavy rainfall will be the primary threat.

Disturbance 48 is located just off the coast of Africa, near 10.0N, 20.0W. It is moving to the west at 10 mph. There is a 10 percent chance of development over the next seven days.
