Tropical Storm Leslie is located about 540 miles east of Bermuda. Leslie is moving to the south near 6 mph. Leslie is forecast to meander over the open Atlantic. There is no immediate threat to land. Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
The remnants of Kirk have moved into Central America, southern Mexico, and the Yucatan Peninsula. It is located along 88W. It is moving to the west at 20 mph. This motion is expected to continue. The wave axis may enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the Bay of Campeche today. Redevelopment is not expected.

Disturbance 47 has formed in the southwestern Caribbean. A weak area of low pressure has developed near 11.5N, 80.0W or just north of the coast of Panama. There is a 25 percent chance of tropical development over the next seven days. Beyond 7 days, the long-range model guidance indicates that this disturbance may either move northward into the eastern Gulf of Mexico or move northeastward across Cuba and the Bahamas into the western North Atlantic. We think it is more likely that the potential system will move to the northeast across Cuba and the Bahamas into the Atlantic.

Disturbance 48 has been identified just off the coast of Africa along 16W. It is moving to the west at 18 mph. There is a 10 percent chance of development over the next seven days.

Disturbance 46 has dissipated across the central tropical Atlantic. It has been removed from our analysis.
