Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 7 is located along 94W, in the southern bay of Campeche. It is moving to the west-northwest at 5 to 10 mph. The disturbance is forecast to move into Mexico within the next 24 hours. No tropical development is expected.

Disturbance 8 is located along 78W. It is moving to the west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph. The disturbance is bringing locally heavy rains to parts of eastern Cuba, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands. There is a near zero percent chance of tropical development.

Disturbance 9 is located along 53W. It is moving to the west near 22 mph. The disturbance may enhance rainfall for the northern coast of Venezuela, and the Windward Islands on Monday, there is a near zero percent chance of tropical development.

Beyond the next week, there may be a trough of low pressure located over the waters off of the southeast United States, extending across Florida, and into the Gulf of Mexico. Any troughs over these waters need to be closely monitored for signs of tropical development this time of year. At this time, it appears as if there is only a slight chance of any tropical development. In addition, in the unlikely event that any development were to occur, it likely would be a weak system.
