Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 4 and Disturbance 6 have merged into one system. We are calling it Disturbance 4. The disturbance is very near the west coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. A west-northwest motion is expected to continue. The disturbance, and possibly the remnant moisture from Tropical Storm Carlotta (currently in the East Pacific near Mexico), will enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the western Gulf of Mexico as well as over northeast Mexico, southern/coastal Texas, and Louisiana through much of the upcoming week. There remains a very slight (10 percent) chance that a tropical depression or weak tropical storm could develop in the western Gulf of Mexico over the next 7 days. At this time, our primary concern continues to be locally heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

Disturbance 7 is along 49W. It continues to move westward near 10 mph. It is expected to enhance shower and thunderstorm activity for the Lesser Antilles by Monday. It is not expected to develop.
