SUBJECT: Reduced Hours of Operation for Certain CBP Operations on Friday, December 24, 2015
Pursuant to an Executive Order signed by President Obama closing the Federal Government and excusing certain employees from duty for the last half of the scheduled workday on Thursday, December 24, 2015, the day before Christmas, trade staff in the Port of New Orleans import Specialist, Entry, Vessel Repair and Fines, Penalties and Forfeitures units will only be on duty until 12 noon on December 24, 2015. Those units will be closed for business thereafter on that day. Note that Friday, December 25, 2015 is a Federal holiday and those units will be closed on that day as well.
All other CBP operations, to include the Marine Desk, Operations Desk, airport, CES and RPMs will remain open on Thursday, December 24 and will be operating on their usual holiday schedule on Friday, December 25.
