SUBJECT: 2016 CUSTOMS BROKERS ANNUAL USER FEE

The Annual User Fee of $138.00 that is assessed for each Customs Broker Permit held by an individual, partnership, association or corporation, as set forth in 19 CFR 111.96(c), is due by February 26, 2016.

The User Fee is assessed for each permit held by an individual or company and is payable each calendar year at the port through which the broker was granted the permit. In the case of a national permit, the $138.00 fee is payable at the port through which the broker’s license and national permit were issued. Licensed individuals who do not hold permits are not required to pay this fee.

Written notification to the broker of the failure to pay the fee by February 26, 2016 will constitute revocation of the permit. If the permit is revoked the broker must re-apply for a permit and submit a $100.00 application fee in addition to the $138.00 Annual User Fee.

Checks and money orders must be made payable to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the permit holder’s filer code should be clearly indicated on the check or money order. Please remit all fees for the Port of New Orleans to:
