The schedule of work as provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on July 10, 2024, is here

The Fiscal Year 2024 revetment operations on the Mississippi River Ship Channel are scheduled to start at Vacherie (Mile 148.8 Above Head of Passes) on October 31, 2024 (subject to change).

The Coalition intends to issue our next update one month prior to the start of revetment operations at the Vacherie location.

The USACE will perform rock work at Fort Jackson (Mile 20.9 Above Head of Passes), the pilot associations believe this work can be conducted by limiting vessel traffic to one-way transits (24-hours). The USACE continues to work on the schedule and other details related to this rock work (no revetments at Fort Jackson) additional details are forthcoming.
