Please accept this update from the Big River Coalition based on additional changes to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) scheduled revetment operations.
The USACE has made additional changes to the schedule and removed the revetment operations at the Missouri Bend (Mile 220.7 Above Head of Passes) site. There are no only two revetment locations on the Mississippi River Ship Channel.
The Mat Sinking Unit (MSU) will operate with scheduled working hours for revetment operations from 0600 hours to 1900 hours. Although, completion is dependent upon multiple factors that could mean work for the day completes before or after 1900 hours.
The Big River Coalition will issue an update when the new USACE schedule is released but wanted to confirm that there will be no revetment operations on the Mississippi River Ship Channel until early to mid-January (2022).
The MSU is expected to resume work at the Grand Bay (Mile 255 Above Head of Passes) on Wednesday (December 29, 2021).
