The Corps has completed the revetment operations on the Mississippi River Ship Channel, the revetment operations at New River Bend (Mile 190.4
Above Head of Passes [AHP]) have ceased. The Corps was unable to continue the revetment operations in the present high-river conditions and is
done for the season. The Mat Sinking Unit and other equipment is in the process of moving upriver to their homeport at Vicksburg (MS), which will
take a few more days.
The Corps requests that a slow-bell continue in the immediate area of the equipment it has at Mile 189 AHP until it can all be retrieved and moved
upriver to Vicksburg.
