Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 56 is relatively stationary along 49W. A slow northward motion is expected through Friday followed by a turn to the west this weekend. Conditions are expected to become more favorable for development this weekend. It has a 50 percent chance of becoming a tropical storm. Fortunately, there will be strong cold fronts moving off the United States East Coast. Therefore, the system will likely eventually turn out to sea and not impact any land areas.
