The USCG hosted a Port Coordination Team conference today.  Here is a summary of that meeting.

Hurricane BARRY has been downgraded to TS BARRY
 
Possible Impacts:
  • Storm approaching Shreveport.
  • Lingering rainfall through tomorrow.
  • Don’t anticipate rising river levels.
USACE
  • Locks
    • Harvey Lock – Closed.  Opening tomorrow at earliest.
      • Note that Harvey/Lapalco Sector Gates are still closed.
    • Algiers Lock – Open.
    • IHNC Lock – Ready for ops.
  • Dredging and Surveys
    • No dredging ops in Crossings yet.
    • SWP dredging are working.  WHEELER en route with ETA SWP 1700 hours.
    • SWP surveys are being conducted at this time.
USCBP
  • Extended Blanket Delay in Departure Issued.  (Click here)
 
Flood Protection Sectors
  • Surge barrier protection could be opened by 1800 today.
  • Seabrook may be opened tomorrow.
USCG:
    • Port Condition Normal COTP New Orleans set.  (Click here)
      • Effective 0600 this morning.
      • Note there are some restrictions to canal transits due to various lock operating status.
    • ATON discrepancies noted.  Crews to begin work as conditions allow.
    • RNA West NOW Open. (Click here)
    • RNA East still closed.  Update possible later today.
    • MSU Baton Rouge – Watching canal between Bayou Sorrel and Port Allen locks for flooding.
    • Port Zulu set for COTP Houma which includes Houma, Morgan City, Fourchon, New Iberia, Intracoastal City, Lafayette. 
    • All traffic on hold in COTP Houma.
