Krotz Springs Railroad Bridge Repair, Atchafalaya River at Mile Marker 41.5

Due to a marine casualty, which took place on 25 April 2019, the Krotz Springs Railroad Bridge swing span is inoperable.

Permanent repairs are being conducted on the Krotz Springs Railroad Bridge, located at mile marker 41.5 on the Atchafalaya River in Krotz Springs, LA.
The bridge is closed to vessel traffic using the swing span indefinitely until the bridge finishes repairs.
Vessels needing to use the swing span are encouraged to find alternate routes.

Mariners planning to transit under the bridge shall contact the Krotz Springs Railroad Bridge at (337)566-3713 to determine if the bridge will be blocked.
