Kirk
The remnants of Kirk may approach the Lesser Antilles as a tropical storm. Regardless of whether or not the remnants of Kirk manage to be a tropical storm when impacting Barbados and the central Lesser Antilles on Thursday, the impacts will be the same. Locally heavy thunderstorms capable of producing localized flooding and tropical storm force winds will be possible. Please see our latest advisory on your StormGeo web portal.

Leslie
Subtropical Depression Leslie is located about 1165 miles west-southwest of the Azores. Leslie is expected to loop around over roughly the same region of the North Atlantic this week. It may lose its tropical characteristics over the next few days as it strengthens. However, it may regain those tropical characteristics later in the week. It is possible that Leslie could become a hurricane in the long range. Please see our latest advisory on your StormGeo web portal.

42
Disturbance 42 is centered about 240 miles south of Cape Hatteras, NC. It is showing some signs of becoming better organized. However, it is also approaching an environment of unfavorable wind shear. This wind shear will help to keep the heaviest showers and storms on the eastern side of the system as it makes its closest approach to the North Carolina Coast late tonight and into tomorrow morning. Therefore, the heaviest showers and thunderstorms are expected to remain east of the flood plagued regions of the Carolinas.

Despite moving into a less favorable environment for development, we continue to think the system has a 50 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression or weak tropical storm before making its closest approach to the North Carolina Coast. The impacts will not change regardless of whether or not it develops. Please see our latest advisory on your StormGeo web portal.

Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
Disturbance 45 is along 20W and is moving west near 15 mph. A general west to west-northwest track is expected. The system will likely remain weak. Development chances remain quite low (10 percent).
