Federal Buoys marking the Blind and Amite Rivers are off-station and requires an update or discontinuation. To provide a more efficient and effective Aids to Navigation signal, the Coast Guard is proposing the following Aids to Navigation changes:
- Rename Amite River Entrance Light (LLNR-11650) in approximate position 30-17-49.559N/090-33-28.755W, showing FL W 4s, 20 FT, 4NM, NW on piles, to Amite River Obstruction Light (LLNR-11650), showing FL W 4s, 20 FT, 4NM, NW on piles.
- Discontinue Amite River Buoy 3 (LLNR-11652) in approximate position 30-17-58.043N/090-33-27.006W.
- Discontinue Amite River Buoy 5 (LLNR-11654) in approximate position 30-18-03.411N/090-33-33.113W.
- Discontinue Blind River Lighted Buoy 2 (LLNR-11640) in approximate position 30-12-25.989N/090-34-48.507W.
- Discontinue Blind River Lighted Buoy 4 (LLNR-11645) in approximate position 30-12-30.184N/090-35-21.879W.
