1. The Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a safety advisory for the waters of the Morgan City – Port Allen Alternate Route at mile marker 64. Mariners are advised that Port Allen Lock will be closed to navigation on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. so that U.S. Government Maintenance Divers and a U.S. Government Hired Labor Unit can clear debris beneath the miter gates.
