1. The Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a safety advisory for the waters of the Morgan City – Port Allen Alternate Route at mile marker 64. Mariners are advised that the Port Allen Lock is closed to marine traffic so that a U.S. Government Maintenance Unit can make emergency repairs to a failed gate hinge assembly. Repairs are expected to be completed on 19 April 2024.
