1. As a result of the Baton Rouge gauge reading 16 feet and below, the COTP New Orleans has issued a Safety Advisory from Mile Marker (MM) 225 to MM 228.3, Lower Mississippi River (LMR). This safety advisory is effective 0600 Friday, August 5, 2022 with the following provisions:
A. All towing vessels in the vicinity of College Town Light (MM 225 to MM 228.3) are advised to keep flat on the bank and provide a wide berth to deep-draft vessel traffic.
2. This Marine Safety Information Bulletin supersedes Volume XXII, Issue 040, Low Water Safety Advisory: MM 167.5 to MM 303 AHP LMR (12’ and below).
