The Department of Homeland Security has release a National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin.

A NTAS ‘Bulletin’ describes current developments or general trends regarding threats of terrorism.

Summary:

• Iran has been designated a “State Sponsor of Terrorism” since 1984.
• Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were designated a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” in 2019.
• On January 02, the US carried out a lethal strike against the Revolutionary Guard’s Commander.
• Iranian leadership and affiliated violent extremist organizations have stated they intended to retaliate.

NOTE: At this time there is no information indicating a specific, credible threat to the Homeland.
