The USCG will implement the following Safety Zones for Fireworks on New Years Eve:

Where:   MM 229.5 to MM 230.5 AHP

Date:   December 31, 2018 – January 1, 2019

Time:   11:30pm to 1:00am, local time.

Where:   MM 99.3 to MM 100.3 AHP

Date:   December 31, 2018

Time:   10:00pm to 11:00pm, local time.

Where:   MM 94 to MM 95, LMR AHP (Algiers Point)

Date:   December 31, 2018 – January 1, 2019

Time:   11:30pm to 12:30am, local time.

All vessels are prohibited from entering these safety zones unless they have been granted permission by the Captain of the Port New Orleans or a designated representative. For the Safety Zones, the designated representative will be Vessel Traffic Center Lower Mississippi River. Only vessels participating in fireworks displays and pre-designated vessels are permitted within the safety zones while they are in effect.
