Revetment operations in the vicinity of Mile Marker (MM) 239.2 Above Head of Passes (AHP) (Allendale) have concluded.
Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) will clear the existing vessel queue around Allendale, including all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) vessels, and then secure the Thomas Point (“Baton Rouge Traffic”) watch station.
A broadcast and email will announce when the queue is cleared and the watch station is secured. At that time, the Allendale revetment-associated VTS Measure will be lifted.
The USACE mat sinking unit and associated support vessels will transit to Good Hope (MM 123.4 AHP LMR) to begin revetment operations (anticipated start time/date is 6:00 AM on November 17, 2018).
Updates and/or changes to this MSIB will be broadcast via Safety Broadcast Notice to Mariners.
