Safety Zones on the Lower Mississippi River July 4,2018 are as follows:
1. Between MM 94.3 and MM 95.3 from 2055 to 2140 local, and
2. Between MM 216.5 and MM 217.5 from 2030 to 2145 local, and
3. Between MM 228.8 and MM 229.8 from 2030 to 2200 local.
During these times no vessel will be permitted entry into the Safety Zone without prior permission from VTS New Orleans.

The Captain of the Port of New Orleans will establish Safety Zones on the Lower Mississippi River July 4,2018 between MM 94.3 and MM 95.3 from 2055 to 2140 local, MM 216.5 and MM 217.5 from 2030 to 2145 local, and between MM 228.8 and MM 229.8 from 2030 to 2200 local. These safety zones are needed to protect persons and vessels from the potential safety hazards associated with waterborne activities and fireworks display. During this time no vessel will be permitted entry into the Safety Zone without prior permission from VTS New Orleans.
