Other Disturbances / Areas to Watch
We continue to designate an area along a frontal boundary offshore of North Carolina as Disturbance 10. The system will track northeast and out to sea. It is not expected to impact land areas. There is a very slight (less than 10 percent) chance that a tropical depression could briefly form over the next 24 hours before it weakens.
Disturbance 29 is along 29W. It is moving very quickly (20 mph) to the west. It may enhance shower and thunderstorm activity for the Lesser Antilles by the weekend. At this time, we think the presence of dry air will prevent the system from becoming better organized.
Disturbance 9 has moved into Central America and has been removed from our analysis.
