**Update 05** Restrictions are in place from December 2, 2024, from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. daily through December 05, 2024, ending at 6:00 P.M.
Southbound Traffic: Tows are limited to 800 feet in length or less and tows over 600 feet in length must flank, not including the length of the towing vessel.
Northbound Traffic: Tows are limited to 30 barges or less with a maximum length of 6 barges.
25NOV2024:
**Update 04** Restrictions are in place from November 26, 2024, to December 3, 2024, from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. daily except for the following period with no restrictions: November 29, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. to December 2, 2024, at 6:00 A.M.
21NOV2024:
**Update 03** All vessels intending to transit must make passing arrangements with the M/V William James on Marine VHF 13, 16, 82 or by phone at (601) 529-5824. Southbound Traffic: Tows are limited to 25 barges or less & all southbound tows with 12 or more barges must flank. Northbound Traffic: No restrictions. All vessels are required to pass both the Mat Sinking Unit and the Quarters Barge at their slowest safe speed after making passing arrangements with the M/V William James

**Update 02** The revetment operation dates have changed to November 20, 2024 through December 1, 2024.
18NOV2024:
**Update 01** The revetment operation dates have changed to November 19, 2024 through November 30, 2024.
15NOV2024:
1. The Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a VTS safety measure for the waters of the Lower Mississippi River at mile marker 249.2. Revetment operations will be conducted from November 18, 2024, to November 29, 2024, from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. daily on the right descending bank at Profit Island.
2. Mariners are advised that Lower Mississippi River marine traffic will be restricted/closed at MM 249.2 to allow for revetment operations at the Arbroth Revetment. The restrictions are as follows:
Southbound Traffic:
Southbound marine traffic will be CLOSED on the Lower Mississippi River at MM 249.2 from November 18, 2024, to November 29, 2024, from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. daily.
Northbound Traffic:
Northbound marine traffic will be RESTRICTED to 15-barge tows or less on the Lower Mississippi River at MM 249.2 from November 18, 2024, to November 29, 2024, from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. daily.
