Safety Advisory – Port Allen Lock Closure at MM 64 MORGAN CITY-PORT ALLEN ALTERNATE ROUTE
1. The Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a safety advisory for the waters of the Morgan City – Port Allen Alternate Route at mile marker 64. Mariners are advised that the Port Allen Lock will be closed to marine traffic from October 28, 2024 through November 3, 2024 between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. so that a U.S. Government Maintenance Unit can remove a tainter valve for repairs.
