**Update** The Port Allen Lock will reopen to marine traffic at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024.

1. The Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a safety advisory for the waters of the Morgan City – Port Allen Alternate Route at mile marker 64. Mariners are advised that Port Allen Lock will be closed to navigation so that a U.S. Government Maintenance Unit can make additional repairs to the gate anchorage during the following dates and times:
   1. 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, through 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024
   2. 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, through 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024
