We are pleased to announce the selection of Mark Choina as the Assistant Director, Field Operations-Border Security and Trade, New Orleans Field Office, effective February 25, 2024. In his new role, Mr. Choina will oversee Border Security and Trade programs and operations throughout the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Assistant Port Director Troy Simon will serve as Assistant Port Director Trade/Tactical and will manage cargo and conveyance trade, agriculture and enforcement processing, facilitation and inspection [inbound and outbound]; to include operations at the Marine Division, Central Examination Station [CES], Container Terminals and Radiation Portal Monitors [RPM].

Chief Kevin Alombro will serve as the Acting Assistant Port Director Passenger and manage passenger and crewmember processing, facilitation and inspection [inbound and outbound]; to include operations at the New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport [MSY], the New Orleans Lakefront Airport [NEW], and the Julia and Erato Street Cruise Terminals.
