- The Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a safety advisory for the waters of the Port Allen – Morgan City Alternate Route at mile marker 64.3. Mariners are advised that the Union Pacific Railroad bridge will be closed to marine traffic for 24 hours, beginning May 21, 2023 at 0700 until May 22, 2023 at 0700. The bridge will be undergoing necessary maintenance in the down position.
