The following was just received from NOBRA President Captain Steven Hathorn (approximately 1430 local on August 2, 2020):

Good afternoon,

We are having to close middle and lower Grandview Anchorage.
This is due to the unexpected dredging that starts tomorrow.
These positions are three of our best loaded spots.
We are asking that loaded vessels (thirty feet and greater) not be brought up in our area if they will be at anchor for several days.
Let’s keep them below New Orleans if they fall into this category.
This should not effect us very long.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation on this matter.

Thanks,

Steve
