Due to improved visibility in the vicinity of Algiers Point MM 94.5 AHP, the Mississippi River at Algiers Point is now open to all traffic. Mariners are advised that forecasters predict intermittent periods of dense fog over the next 24 hours and should initiate appropriate risk assessments before executing passage plans. The New Orleans Harbor traffic control lights are energized, requiring vessels to contact VTS LMR on VHF FM Ch-12 prior to transiting the Algiers Point VTS Special Area.
