The USACE held a Navigation Restoration Team Conference today.

Latest information
- Long-Term Conditions:
- Subsequent river flooding for days ahead.
- Current:
- A few bands of moderate to heavy rain continue across the region with isolated wind gust to 40 kt.
- LMR levels rising.
- Currently at New Orleans approximately 16.2’
- Forecast for rising to 17.0’ late tonight/early tomorrow.
- Forecast to begin dropping below 17.0’ Wednesday, July 17.
- Two-day rainfall total additional 4-8 inches over a large area.
- Tides 1 to 2 feet above normal. Slowly decreasing tonight thru early Monday.
- At SWP:
- Today south wind 20-25 kts with gust near 35 its.
- Wave heights 6-9 feet.
- Tonight: winds 20 its, seas 4-7 feet with scattered storms
- Monday: winds 15-20 its, seas 3-5 feet with occasional 7’. Scattered storms.
USACE
- Locks
- Harvey Lock – Closed. Opening tomorrow at earliest.
- Note that Harvey Gates are still closed.
- Algiers Lock – Open.
- IHNC Lock – Closed. Opening this evening.
- Note that Seabrook is still closed.
- Harvey Lock – Closed. Opening tomorrow at earliest.
- Dredging and Surveys
- No dredging ops in Crossings yet.
- SWP dredging are working. WHEELER en route with ETA SWP 1700 hours.
- SWP surveys to start ETA 1400 today.
USCG
- Port Condition Normal COTP New Orleans set. (Click here)
- Effective 0600 this morning.
- Note there are some restrictions to canal transits due to various lock operating status.
- ATON discrepancies noted. Crews to begin work as conditions allow.
- RNA’s lifted.
- MSU Baton Rouge – Watching canal between Bayou Sorrel and Port Allen locks for flooding.
- Port Zulu set for COTP Houma which includes Houma, Morgan City, Fourchon, New Iberia, Intracoastal City, Lafayette.
- All traffic on hold in COTP Houma.
Levee Districts
- Working to open gates.
- Harvey sector gate still closed.
PORTS
- No Reports.

- BAR –
- 40’ Draft Restrictions pending receipt of surveys
- 4 ships inbound now
- 2 more inbounds scheduled for about noon
- 7 scheduled outbound
- CRPPA –
- 13 ships underway now in CRPPA AOR
- Expect to have 27 ships moving within 2 hours.
- NOBRA –
- Started 0600 to dispatch 10 ships outbound.
- Moving other ships to berth.

- 4-5 others inbound SWP tonight 2100 hrs.
