Today and Tomorrow’s Weather
A cold front will stall along the Gulf coast today as high pressure continues to ridge across the Gulf of Mexico. This will allow for moderate easterly to southeasterly winds across the western Gulf today. Winds will be light and variable over the eastern Gulf. This front will also bring a greater risk of showers and thunderstorms. Seas will be near 3 to 5 feet over the western Gulf and 2 to 4 feet over the eastern Gulf. The front will then dissipate on Saturday.
Day Three through Seven Weather Hazards
High pressure will once again become the dominant feature in this extended period. This will allow for the return of onshore flow. Winds over the western Gulf will be southeasterly at moderate to fresh levels and winds over the eastern Gulf will be at light to moderate levels. Seas will be 4 to 6 feet over the western Gulf and 2 to 4 feet over the eastern Gulf.
