This informative one-day program is presented in conjunction with USCG Sector New Orleans for the benefit of the maritime community and is free to attend, including complementary breakfast and lunch. In addition to the valuable learning and networking opportunities, our conference format provides the opportunity to connect and communicate directly with industry leaders and government partners representing the entire maritime community.
This year, the program will start with targeted breakout sessions at 8am. Topics to be covered include Marine Firefighting, Ballast Water Management, High Water Access Best Practices, Sediment Diversion & Coastal Recovery, and Incidents and Near-Miss Trends in Brownwater, Bluewater, and Terminal Operations. We will also be conducting two tabletop exercises – one for Cybersecurity and one for Incident Command Systems. These exercises will include active participation from attendees, so if you’d like to be involved, be sure to check the box on the registration page indicating which one you’re interested in! After lunch, we will all convene for the general session and our annual Hurricane Season panel with NOAA, the Flood Protection Authority, and USCG followed by a presentation on Autonomy & Autonomous Vessels, then we will close the program with a market forecast analysis related to business and trade on the Mississippi River.
