We are facing an unusual navigation situation.
The revetment operations at MM 81.0 have a navigation restriction that prevents vessels greater than 700’ from transiting Southbound during daylight hours from 0600-1900 daily.
Current weather conditions are causing fog closures mainly during nighttime hours.
These two factors are effectively shutting down southbound transits for vessels in excess of 700’ trying to transit through MM 81.
We (LAMA) are trying to coordinate with the USACE and Pilots to find a solution.
What I need….
If you have a vessel over 700’ in length currently above MM 81; please send the following information to me:
  • Name of Vessel:
  • Type of Vessel:
  • Location:
  • Draft:
  • LOA:
  • Expected Date and Time to Sail:
I need that information as soon as possible.
Thanks,
