Algiers Point is now open to navigation. Time of USCG notification of reopening is 5:07 am local, today, 31 December 2018. Time of USCG notification of closure was 3:13 pm local, yesterday, 30 December 2018.

The VTS notification is below.

Due to improved visibility in the vicinity of Algiers Point MM 94.5 AHP, the Mississippi River at Algiers Point is now open to all traffic. Vessels are reminded to contact VTS LMR on VHF FM Ch-12 prior to transiting the regulated navigation area.
