The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) revetment operations along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) at Mile Marker (MM) 81 Above Head of Passes (AHP) has been extended and expected to continue through Monday, 17 December 2018.
The Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Measure detailed in Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB), Vol. XVIII, Issue 086b, distributed on 28 November 2018, will remain in effect through 17 December 2018 until the USACE completes operations at this location.
At this time, the USACE reports the Mat Sinking Unit is secured and folded down for the weekend. It is currently extending approximately 350 feet off the LDB at MM 81.3 AHP and will resume reventment operations on Monday, 10 December 2018 at 6:00 am.
