Our 2018 LAMA Annual Meeting is now set for Thursday, November 29, 2018.
We will hold the meeting as before at the Hilton, New Orleans Airport. (901 Airline Drive, Kenner, LA)
The meeting format is as follows:
- LAMA Membership Business Meeting (2:00 to 2:45) (MEMBERS ONLY – YOUR ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT!!)
- LAMA Maritime Conference (3:00 – 4:30)
- Social Reception (4:30 – 6:30)
Our meeting starts with our association’s business meeting. YOUR ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT!!
Updates on LAMA issues are provided.
- The LAMA Executive Board for 2019 will be elected. Your Vote Counts!!!
At 3:00 the Maritime Conference begins!
This year our special guest is the U. S. Coast Guard Eighth District Commander, Rear Admiral Paul Thomas.
RADM Thomas has been asked to provide a presentation at the global level on current USCG operations and regulatory issues affecting the maritime industry.
Following RADM Thomas, Captain Kristi Luttrell, Captain of the Port of New Orleans will provide an update of local operations.
Following the USCG presentations, others will be given an opportunity to provide brief updates on current operations and the status on issues pertinent to the maritime industry.
Our Maritime Conference guests will include representatives from the USCG, Ports, River Pilots, USCBP, USACE, NCB, etc.
A social networking reception follows the Maritime Conference session with good food, open bar, and beverages provided to all attendees.
