Tropical Storm Florence is located 800 miles west-northwest of the northern Cape Verde Islands. It is moving to the west-northwest at 18 mph. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph. Florence will continue on a track to the west-northwest over the next few days before gradually turning to the northwest late this week into this weekend. Florence may affect Bermuda in 8 to 9 days. Disturbance 30 is located 95 miles to the east-southeast of Key West, Florida and is moving to the west-northwest at 18 mph. Disturbance 30 will likely become a tropical depression later today as it enters the eastern Gulf of Mexico. The chance of development is estimated near 95 percent. It is forecast to move into southeast Louisiana or coastal Mississippi by late tomorrow afternoon or evening as a tropical storm. Disturbance 31 is located along 66W and is moving to move to the west near 23 mph. There is a near zero percent chance of tropical development. It will enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hispaniola today into Tuesday.

Disturbance 33 is moving off the coast of western Africa this morning. The disturbance is located along 18W. There is a 30 percent chance of tropical development over the next seven days. Environmental conditions will only be marginal for tropical development as it passes just south and west of the Cape Verde Islands on Tuesday into Wednesday. The disturbance may pass to the northeast of the Leeward Islands in about a week from now.
