Disturbance 23 is located across southern Mexico, the Bay of Campeche, and the southwestern Gulf of Mexico along 94W. It is moving to the west near 23 mph. No development is expected. The disturbance will enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the Bay of Campeche and southern Mexico today as it moves ashore.
Disturbance 25 is along 55W. It is moving to the west at 20 mph. This motion should continue. The disturbance is likely to bring enhanced rainfall to portions of the Lesser Antilles by tonight into Thursday. The disturbance remains very weak. There is a near zero percent chance of tropical development.
Disturbance 26 is centered over 700 miles to the south-southeast of southeastern Newfoundland near 36N, 50W. Thunderstorms remain disorganized with the non-tropical low this morning. Conditions may become favorable for the system to obtain tropical or subtropical characteristics through Wednesday as the low is forecast to meander several hundred miles to the southeast of Newfoundland. The chance of development is estimated at near 25 percent. Regardless of development, the system should move to the northeast late Wednesday into Thursday and pose no threat to land areas.
Disturbance 27 is located to the north of the Cape Verde Islands along 25W. The disturbance is moving to the west at 15 mph. Environmental conditions will be unfavorable for development. There is a near zero percent chance of development over the next seven days as it moves westward across the Atlantic.
