Here’s how ‘mills’ works…..

Divide the ‘Mills’ by 1000.  So in this case it would be 25.69 divided by 1000 = 0.02569

Then multiple that number (0.02569) by the DWT of the vessel and that will give you the surcharge applied to each vessel per turn.

EXAMPLE:

Tankship ADVANTAGE START has a registered DWT of 156,639.

156,639 x 0.02569 = $4,024.06 surcharge per turn.
