- Vessel draft in excess of 30 ft or greater and pilot ordered after 1600 hrs
and fog predicted: Minimum one assist tug required

Due to deteriora1ng condi1ons in the area of Cubits Gap The Safe Navigation Committee recommends the following:
- All pilots should familiarize themselves with the most current surveys
- Two vessels with drafts of 40’ or greater should avoid meeting in
the area from HOP to 1 mile above Old Quaran1ne Sta1on approximately mile 5.0 AHP - Maximum allowable fresh water draft 45’00”

Due to deteriorating conditions in the area of Cubits Gap
The Safe Navigation Committee recommends the following:
- All pilots should familiarize themselves with the most current surveys

Due to deteriorating conditions in the vicinity of Cubits Gap, the safe navigation committee recommends the maximum allowable fresh water draft is 45’00”.
CRPPA Pilots – 42’ Draft Restriction Issued 4/14/2018
The Crescent Pilots have decided to reduce the draft in the Gap area to 42 feet.
CRPPA Pilots – 44’ Draft Restriction Issued 4/23/2018
CRPPA has increased it’s allowable draft to 44’ freshwater.
REMINDER: The BAR and Federal Pilots still have a maximum allowable draft of 42’ freshwater.
There is no indication of any increase the draft by either group at this time.
