Alberto
Subtropical Storm Alberto is nearly stationary about 100 miles ESE of Cozumel, Mexico. We expect the center to reform later today near the western tip of Cuba. Thereafter, Alberto should move to the north and then turn more to the northwest. This is expected to take it toward the northern Gulf Coast, likely between Mississippi and the western Florida Panhandle, by late Monday. Alberto currently has winds of 40 mph. At landfall, winds are forecast to be 65 mph. There is a 25 percent chance that Alberto will make landfall as a hurricane. Please see our latest advisory for more information.
