There was a release of fuel oil this morning near Shell Norco, MM 126, LMR.
Any vessel that is contaminated (meaning, has oil on the hull), must contact:

“Any vessel that believes they may have come into contact with this oil spill, 
shall not get underway until they have been properly evaluated and adequately
cleaned to the satisfaction of the attending incident response representative
assigned via the telephone number noted above.”

MM 126 OIL SPILL CONTAMINATION ASSESSMENT AND VESSEL GUIDELINES

On April 23, 2018, Coast Guard received a report of a fuel oil discharge in the vicinity of at MM126 Lower Mississippi River (LMR),
causing vessels throughout the Mississippi River to potentially be contaminated with this oil.

To facilitate decontamination, prevent further environmental and vessel contamination,
all vessels that believe they may have come in contact with this oil may reach out to Chaffe McCall LLP via telephone at (504) 585-7000 to begin the process for decontamination.
Any vessel that believes they may have come into contact with this oil spill,
shall not get underway until they have been properly evaluated and adequately cleaned to the satisfaction of the attending incident response representative
assigned via the telephone number noted above.
