USCG VTS MEASURE – Sunk Vessel

The Towing Vessel ST RITA has sunk at MM 132.8, RDB. A VTS Measure is in place restricting all vessels to slowest safe speed between MM 132 and MM 134, AHOP until further notice.

Due to the sinking of the T/V St Rita, MM132.8 RDB, AHOP, VTC has established a Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Measure for the waters of the Lower Mississippi River at Mile 132.8 RDB, Above Head of Passes (AHP). This Measure is needed to protect vessels from the potential safety hazards associated with the sunken vessel. This Measure is in effect with the following provisions:
